The Area
A very self sufficient area, reducing the need to travel into Brussels for any other facilities, including a central shopping area and several large hypermarkets, providing a very US style feel to the locality. The town also has an “out-of-town” style Bowling Arena with complementary fast food and other restaurants. Although predominantly French speaking, the town is extremely popular with US expats. There is an excellent train link to the centre of Brussels.
Accommodation
There are many substantial properties with large gardens. These are often typical detached villas or “Fermette” style properties – being farm house style houses with shutters at the windows and pleasant terraces.
