Woluwe St Lambert / Woluwe Sint Lambrechts

The Area
Located to the east of Brussels, this Residential commune "par excellence" has approximately 47,000 inhabitants, among whom 133 nationalities are represented. This is not unexpected due to the very expat friendly nature of the locality, typified by special evenings held by the Authority to promote liaison between the locals and incomers. The commune is also known for its dynamic nature, particularly in terms of social and cultural life.

The infrastructure maintains a balance between parkland and built-up areas, making it possible for inhabitants to be close to the city while preserving a quieter pleasant home life.

Very popular with expats, especially those working at the European Institutions, Woluwe St Lambert has a large Park, several green areas, remaining from its rural past, a sports centre and plentiful local amenities. The newly refurbished Shopping Centre with its underground car park is one of the best in Belgium and Avenue George Henri is famous for its individual shops.

There are good communications with the Metro and there is excellent access to the Motorway network and the Airport.

A wide range is both affordable and plentiful with a comprehensive choice for families and singles. There are a number of apartment blocks of all shapes and sizes being developed close to the shopping centre area.
