The Area
Woluwé-Saint-Pierre is easily accessible from Brussels center by Metro, busses and trams. Thousands of people commute from WSP to Brussels and vice-versa, with a journey time of around 15 minutes (connection included) by STIB transportation to reach center area.
There are many National Embassies in the area and it is consequently popular with Diplomats and their families, also being conveniently located for the Airport.
The Commune includes the town of Stockel which offers a lovely atmosphere for living. There is a market three times a week and the whole area has a very international flavour and great, lively ambiance.
Primarily a residential commune, Woluwé-Saint-Pierre has around 300 hectares of green areas. Its park, the Mellaerts Lakes and the Forêt de Soignes offer scenic, calming, relaxing walks. Overall, the area has managed to maintain a harmonious balance which makes it one of the most attractive of the nineteen Brussels communes.
